Since Delhi's disappointing exit from the finals series I've been able to enjoy some time off at home for the first time in ... I'm not sure how long. During these periods I like to relax by catching up with mates, playing golf and watching movies. I keep it pretty low key, but I don't like to sit on my hands too much so I love getting out and doing some fitness work with my trainer Wayne Geber.
Wayne and I have been working together for years and he is one of the best motivators I've come across. We do a variety of sessions involving running, boxing, weights and plyometrics. A lot of my sessions are designed to help improve my power (hitting sixes!) and to train myself mentally to hang in tougher for longer. As you can probably see from some of the pictures in the video, he works me pretty hard and I am always absolutely spent after each session.
Wayne often says to me while I’m training it’s about turning 50’s into 100’s and I can safely say his help has assisted me in achieving that over the past 12 months.
